Re: What's with Hungercity again?
The old banner is now showing up at www.hungercity.org, so something is going on.

Re: What's with Hungercity again?
I feel the same way Dan. The PM's every month, sometimes two or three in a row were pretty disgusting. Other sites are up front with the message and let you know they need the monthly donation, but at least the funds and costs are transparent. The Trader's Den never grovels for money, and only once since I have joined have I noticed a highlight on the donation tab indicating a critical need. So for anyone to see the grace with which this place goes about paying the bills, here is a link. It spells out the details in real time, without even a hint of pressure. http://www.thetradersden.org/forums/donations.php?
The place needs a few bucks, but no worries. The bills get paid silently. Note to self: Send $20 bucks on Monday.

I presume usernames/passwords were wiped after he failed to cough up his server fees.

Shareef was talking about making the site invite only, maybe it's the old invite only tracker that's been revived, just curious. No members have liked this post.

Re: What's with Hungercity again?
Google HungerCity Shareef and you can find him here (there's even a 'phone number so you can call him up and ask him yourself!):
http://companies.findthebest.com/l/5...e-in-Auburn-ME http://www.corporationwiki.com/Maine.../77455110.aspx http://www.manta.com/c/mr5lqn2/hunge...aL6ZTTV65kcg.2 http://www.linkedin.com/pub/shareef-bustani/67/9ab/3a0 Here's an (old) message from him on an appropriately-named site "love and theft": http://loveandtheft.se/smf/index.php?topic=4984.0;wap2 ...and here is the man himself, no doubt livin' it large on all those donations we foolishly kept sending him!
