Considering switching to a MAC/Apple and looking for advice
Longtime lurker here and long-time windows person for my music management. Time for a new computer and I am considering picking up a Mac Mini. I'm dated with my software selections and looking for any pointers on tools to use on the mac to accelerate my research. Here is what I regularly use. I should add that I am good with purchasing software as well.
1. Utorrent 2. Traders Little Helper 3. Karens Directory Printer 4. Mp3tag 5. Media Monkey 6. I also have a QNAP NAS Any suggestions, links, thoughts welcomed here. Looks like my account here goes back to 2004 and before all the torrent sites popped up I spent a lot of time in Yahoo groups doing snail mail. If I am not posting this in the right place or following proper etiquette my apologies. No members have liked this post.

I use BiglyBT, since the transition from uTorrent on Windows to uTorrent on Mac was quite jarring. Plus, you can get an updated client to use on Dime, which no matter which OS you use for uTorrent, you have to use an old version.

Also, I know this is sort of off topic, but I made the switch to Mac last year, simply because I didn't want to spend too much on a system that could handle the latest OS. Every Windows PC I looked at seemed questionable as far as handling Windows 11, but I got the oldest possible iMac that could handle macOS Monterey without lagging. Of course it can't handle anything beyond Monterey, but I'm quite happy with it.

I'm stuck on High Sierra but this is what i use:
qbittorrent Audacity for splitting wav's xACT for encoding and decoding XLD for ripping CD's Edit: I also use Mp3tag for tagging (I could usexACT but Mp3tag is easier) I used a program called WineBottler to make a mac version of that program. No members have liked this post.

On my Mac I use:
Transmission (although I know I should BiglyBT, but I couldn't get it to work the way I needed) Amadeus--for cutting files and basic repair xAct iZotrope I have Parallels on my machine, because the Microsoft Office programs for Windows are better, but it allows me to still use Trader's Little Helper.
